I am a fairly simple, straight forward kind of person. I am 25 and have admittedly made some mistakes in life, and who hasn't? I have worked in the same place for 5 years and am going to school full time to finally attain a degree in early childhood ed. I have one son who is my entire world- its amazing how becoming a parent will change your perception.

I love to be outdoors doing pretty much anything. I enjoy reading and watching a good movie in good company. I frequently try to think up things for my youngin' and I to do to keep him active and redirect that boundless energy into something positive. That is getting easier now that he's a little older.

Big believer in communication (cliche I know, but I mean it). I am one of those people, rare in my experience, when I ask a question I don't like hearing what you THINK I want to unless its the truth. I will never ask anyone the dreaded, "Does this make me look...." Except maybe my sister. I take the time to try to explain why and what I think, and I even give my toddler reasons for things for better understanding. IE: "Don't jump on the bed with your wooden sword because you may get hurt."

I don't know exactly what I want out of this site except to see who is out there and maybe talk to some others who are going through this single parent thing too.
