I am 42 and divorced with 2 adult children. I have recently become foster parent, perspective adoptive parent to my 2 year old great nephew. I never expected to be raising a toddler alone in my 40s, and its rather daunting to think that taking him on means I wont be able to find someone who is interested in dating, let alone a long term relationship. Especially since being a foster parent currently means social workers are involved in most aspects of my life. I dont get an incredible about of alone/adult time. Id love to meet people in the same situation who understand that the baby is my priority. Im pretty laid back,I dont smoke, only drink a couple of times a year, and I dont tolerate drugs. Im a horror fan, both books and movies. As we get closer to fall I am going to miss rummage sale season, but I am looking forward to the changing colors and cuddle weather. Im looking for friendship as well as perspective dates. It would be great to have friends who we could get together WITH the kids and without. Im pretty open and blunt.
