Hi Hi I'm Vicki and I'm 24. I am all for honesty so I'm going to be upfront now. I have 2 wonderful children of 5 and 2. Granted, they werent planned but i would never change my situation. I believe that everything happens for a reason. I have also taken on a 17 year old girl, I'm now her guardian until she finishes college. She has been with me just short of a year. My goal is to become a accountant. I had a internship with a firm based in waterlooville but I had to leave that as the government wouldn't help me with childcare. I have so far been to my MP and he has sent a letter to the Secretary Of State for the Department of Work and Pensions on my behalf to see if they can find me some funding. In the mean time its a waiting game. My boss is amazing and has told me I can come back next year to go through my training. As my daughter will be at nursery so can go in 2 days a week. They can put me through my ACCA so I can come out of it with a good job so i can support my family. I hate the thought of "scrounging off tax payers" but I'm hoping when I have finally completed my training I will be the tax payer and pay back all the money I have been given in benefits. I want to better myself. I want to work. People stereotype single mums and it upsets me as I'm trying my hardest to better myself for me and my family. I have finished college with 2 A levels in Psychology and Critical Thinking and I also have 4 AS levels in Film Studies, Maths, Law and sociology. I fell pregnant in my final year at college...I worked all the way through my pregnancy as well as studying. when I finished college I took a second job and was working as a receptionist full time and a supervisor at the co-op part time. I worked 7 days a week up until I was 8 months pregnant. I carried on working as a supervisor after maternity leave. After having my second child I was finding it hard to juggle work and 2 young kids. I am impressed if your still reading this. I just wanted to lay my cards
