I've recently moved to Maryland from Brooklyn, NY with my amazing 12-year old daughter. We're both having a great time adapting to and learning about our new home. I've been playing tourist and visiting the museums and trying out all the local restaurants. (And getting lost while driving since I have a terrible sense of direction).
I have varied and extensive tastes and hobbies. I like scrabble, reading romance novels, shopping and dancing. I listen to just about every kind of music, including country, hip hop, r&b, opera, heavy metal, etc. If I like it, I listen to it. I like high heels and makeup, but my sneakers are well-used from tramping through the parks. I love being outside and feeling the sun on my skin, sitting in the dark and watching a movie, drinking tea while watching the sun come up and the world is asleep, and talking with my sistahs on the phone and laughing until my cheeks hurt.
